i heard the founders of bioneers, Kenny Ausubel and Nina Simons along with eco-activist novelist Starhawk say in the SAME WEEK that climate change should be everyone's #1 concern. and there's a tribe here called 'climate change' with only one member...hmmm...

considering military neocon Andrew Marshall commissioned a report on climate change showing its potential imminent threat with global resource wars, i want more info!!!

whatchu all got out there? what's good science? what's hooey?

  • climate change is definately real, as an environmental studies major I get reminded about it everyday. however, for most people climate change is only as real as they perceive it to be on a day to day basis. one may notice pollution in the air, but the ice caps melting, rising CO2- these things are not noticed. this is why this issue can be so important, so vital to our survival, yet largely unnoticed and not talked about.

one good thing i see in climate change is the word change. When the consequences of industrialization really start to become apparant (im talking warming/cooling/drought/rising sea levels/ erratic weather patterns) change will become inevitable. either we change, or nature changes for us.

the shift in consciousness was apparent at zaca lake, and is growing everywhere. we cannot escape the change we have created, we can only adapt to it and create new changes. that is why sustainability is intrinsic to our survival, we need to change to a sustainable lifestyle to support human life in the generations to come....
  • This is real. This is happening. This is the real threat to national security. This is the real threat to our community. We all talk about it. We all know it. But are we doing anything? It's time to make a differnece. It's time for action! Revive the evnironmental movement. We can save lives.
